Day 5: Fall In Love with the Process of Being You
Launchpad enrollment is open until April 13 — don’t miss your last chance to join our membership program this year!
Fall in Love with the Process
We did it! You made it! It’s Day 5 of the 5-day Microdose Mini-Challenge…and the very last day of Q1. Hello, finish line—a fresh start awaits.
Speaking of finish lines, how often have you found yourself obsessing over getting to the goal, rushing through the process (which can be painful with all its uncertainty and doubt)…only to wish in hindsight you’d enjoyed the journey a little more?
As an empathic or highly sensitive person, being in the process can set off your internal alarms. Fear can surge up and you might subconsciously feel like you’re in danger. Your brain thinks that knowing the answer means you won’t be able to protect yourself.
But how can we know the answer if we haven’t even explored the question…much less asked it?
🚀 CHALLENGE: Today, let yourself be IN the process of what you’re doing instead of just trying to get it done.
Suggested actions to try today
- 🪴 Imagine that the “impossible” has actually already happened. Visualize (or journal) about your dream in the past tense, as though you’re writing a diary entry about it after it’s already happened. (e.g., “Dear Diary, I can’t believe I just sang an aria at Carnegie Hall at age 67, but I did.”) Read it aloud. How does it feel?
🪴Make something by hand. It doesn’t have to be a work of art. In fact, it shouldn’t be. Let yourself get messy and imperfect. It could be dip-dying an Easter egg for the weekend or cutting up a few veggies for a salad. Maybe you’ll edit a video or make an Instagram tile in Canva (operating a mouse and keyboard still counts as hand-work to us). The key is to be IN the process! Slow down and do it at a modulated pace, paying attention to your senses and emotions (even the irritated ones) as you do each step. What did you observe about yourself? How comfortable and uncomfortable were you?
🪴Think about an unresolved part of your life—and give it permission to be in its process. Sometimes you’re just not ready to make a decision. Maybe it isn’t time. You haven’t felt all the feelings, gotten a clear signal or gone through a crucial piece of the process. There’s a difference between being unresolved and being stuck. Is there an area of your life where you’re rushing yourself or judging or trying to force a decision when your gut knows it isn’t yet time? Today, think of that issue, smile to yourself and say, “I trust that I’ll be shown the next step in due time. Today I choose peace with not knowing how.”
🪴Let others be in the process too. Do you rush in for the save? Assume you have to make things all better for others? Today…just don’t. Allow other people to have their process too. Offer support if it feels right, but trust that they’re on a journey of growth and discovery, just like you.
🪴Celebrate yourself. You went through this process—the Microdose Mini-Challenge—this whole week! You took on your life for the final 5 days of the quarter and told the universe you believed that anything could happen. It doesn’t matter what you did or didn’t do. You said “yes” to a process and the universe heard you. We did too. Thank you for joining us. Onward to a creative and meaningful Q2!
If you enjoyed this challenge and want more of this kind of support, we’d love to have you join our Launchpad membership group. We’re open for enrollment one last time this year and our next live session is April 16. Get all the details here.

Dear Diary, I can’t believe the bidding war for my screenplay has gotten this great. I thought Tyler Perry and Disney would be interested but more big producers are trying to get in on the action. Copies have gotten out and there are some major talents talking about the roles they want. This feels so good!
Doesn’t it, though? Congrats on all that! Wonderful news

YESSSS!!!
Oh my gosh, this is what I wrote about yesterday for my Daily Divina practice! Yes! For today, making something by hand resonates with me right now. Richard took half the day off and we are going to drive up the mountain to see the lingering snow, but I am going to make some special Japanese tea sweets (chakin shibori) to enjoy with tea up there. Thank you for the inspiration! That will make this extra special.
That sounds divine Eric. I’m missing writing the tea story. Can’t wait to get back to writing. Would love to connect about tea later in April. What is your favorite? That’s hard to answer maybe.
we are so in sync!
The schedule for film location scouting trip came together. I reached out to others. Then they reached. That really did happen.
What will happen is that from this film work, the director I’m accompanying Monday to look at my locations will really want me to send my script. Then I can hire location scouts for the TWO scripts he’s interested in. In oklahoma and one in MS! I’ll be writer-producer. See you at the Oscars in 2 years or so!
And I did treat myself. With groundwork finished for location trip to finalize next week for a feature film. This ‘fell into my lap’ bit over 2 weeks ago.
Gena this is a far cry from a mere week ago when your engine light was on (apparently a metaphor since you manifesting engine light is really ON)!
That’s some truth there! Back to the mountain top tomorrow. Have 8 houses and 5 lakes to show. Mechanic got the engine light off. Foe now. I’ll take it. All systems go!
Honestly yall. I’m really pushing thru this. The driving is tough. Still long hauling it and feeling better after spinal fracture in Jan. I could use some good vibes for Monday and Tues next week. Monday esp. The driving…then Wed I’ll be in bed half the day. Ha. I will.
Celebrating making a quantum-leap to Australia I took myself out for a little lunch and glass of bubbles in the city 🥂
Totally wandered around all day with a perma-grin thinking “I totally did it! I’m HERE!!” 😃💫
That’s awesome! Australia is on my list to visit.
